Submission Guidelines

I welcome article submissions and potential contributors from around the world! If you are a geologist with an interesting blog, would be glad to link to it.

Topics: rockhounding, lapidary, geology, geophysics, field trips, British Columbia and other Canadian rockhounding journeys, minerals, world travels re rockhounding, discoveries, lapidary tools product review, shop tips and tricks.  Most interested in field trip adventures and finds and new minerals finds (including crystals), prospecting.

Please submit an inquiry email first!  Articles no longer than 3000 words – usual about  500 to 1500 words.  Submit as doc.x or pdf with pictures as jpgs 700 pixels wide at 200dpi.

NOTE:  this is not a site for free advertising of your penny stock mine or any type of product!!!!

Classified ads are free to all BCLS club members!  Otherwise $10 per inch (1″ x 4″)

  1. Hi, I am the Show Chair for the Victoria Lapidary and Mineral Society (VLMS). We would like to buy a half page ad to advertise our March 18th Show in Victoria. Could you please email me the best edition and deadline to get the ad in? thanks.
